Andreas Rubensson
Team Leader Development – DevelopmentAndreas is making a career within MTEK - "Thrives in the leadership role"
When Andreas Rubensson, 29, was hired in the summer of 2018, MTEK had not even begun its journey of success.
“Both my cousin and father told me that it was a company that had something fun going on, so I went there. Back then, they only had one concept, MBrain was in an Excel sheet," Andreas recalls.
Back then he had a bachelor's degree in computer science in Uppsala and was looking for a job.
“I had been interested in graphical user-friendly interfaces and they were looking for someone with that interest. Well, then I will get to work with what I studied for, was my thought".
Today - four years later - Andreas reveals that he has not regretted that decision even once.
“I can't see myself anywhere else. There is such a drive in this company. And to be able to create a program that makes working life more efficient for people in the industry, that their work becomes more enjoyable - that's a journey I want to be part of".
When Andreas was hired, MTEK was only just starting up. The roles were few. But as the company grows, new functions are required. And leaders.
"If a person likes the workplace, feels good and gets to do what he or she is good at - then MBrain will also be good. So when I last year was asked to be the team leader for the developers, I didn't hesitate. When I achieve success with my group, it is greater than when I succeeded alone".
And Andreas measures success to when the team tweaks the interface of MBrain so the customers can more easily solve their challenges.
“You can have the world's most advanced system, but if it's difficult to use, it's basically useless. It should be easy to do the right thing".
The coolest thing about MBrain is:
The extent, that we can eliminate several systems instead of becoming yet another in a row of systems in an industry.
The best thing about working at MTEK is:
The people here, they are what make us successful!
