Manasa Rao
System Test Engineer – OperationsThe doctor Manasa changed India for Sweden – Fell for MTEK: "The challenge intrigued me"
When you leave the small childhood village in India – how come you end up in Alfta?
When you get a job as a doctor after studying medicine – how come you change it to the role of software tester at MTEK?
Manasa Rao, 30, has an interesting background to say the least.
"Here at MTEK, I have really found my place. It has been an amazing journey," she says.
The step from India to Sweden is big, but there is an explanation to it. Her husband, Suraj Rao, works for Ericsson. And when the job brought him to Stockholm, Manasa came along.
And despite working as a doctor, she was looking for something new to do.
"I've always been interested in development, so when I saw an ad from MTEK I was intrigued"
It has been a move she does not regret.
"What MTEK has done is incredibly interesting and my job is exciting and challenging. I have mostly worked with mobile applications before. MBrain is so much more complicated. Here I work with super skilled colleagues and I learn new things all the time".
Moving to Alfta can seem like a big contrast to southern India.
“But it's quite similar to the home village. The nature, the mountains and the houses, even if we don't have any snow there. Here in Alfta it is so peaceful. The people are so welcoming”.
“My colleagues have also been very welcoming,” Manasa says.
"I have received a really good introduction, not only about the job but also about the culture at MTEK. A perfect start to my new career. Everyone is positive and really eager to help.”
The coolest thing about MBrain is:
Even though I am very new to MBrain as per my learning til now Mbrain makes the complex manufacturing process smooth and efficient.
The best thing about working at MTEK is:
Working with skilled, humble colleagues and learning new things every day.
