Rebecka Dahlgren
UX Designer – DevelopmentRebecka makes MBrain more user-friendly "It should be easy for the customer to reach their goal"
Rebecka Dahlgren, 37, has plenty of experience. She has worked in healthcare, studied Mandarin and sign language in China for over two years and has a BA in sociology and gender studies.
But the option of continuing as an academic didn't quite appeal. Instead she found UX which caught her interest.
"It was a good middle ground between technology and creativity."
Rebecka started the Changemaker program at Yrkeshögskolan in Stockholm. And via her LIA internship, she ended up at MTEK.
“I had only been here one month before I was offered a permanent job. I didn't have to think about it very long," she says with a smile.
Being able to take part in designing MBrain is a special feeling.
“It is an advanced and rapidly growing system with advanced technology. For me, it is important to quickly get the UX mindset into the projects. My role is to make everything more user-friendly. It should be easier for the customer to solve the task and achieve their goals".
And even though Rebecka is relatively new in her role, she sees the greatness.
“UX is constantly evolving. It is extremely wide and there are many different roles within the profession. It's a little scary when you think about it, but my goal is still to find a specific area and become a specialist. There is a real challenge there".
She is sure to find that specific area here at MTEK.
“You get into the group straight away. No one is shy and everyone is encouraging. It's really nice that such an excellenet and sharp company can be found in Alfta, here at home in Hälsingland".
The coolest thing about MBrain is:
It is that it is an advanced system that everyone should be able to use no, regardless of whether you have a technical background or not.
The best thing about working at MTEK is:
The colleagues! Everyone is nice, you value each other's opinions and no one has to worry about asking for help!
