Sven worked for MTEK - got hired: "Never regretted it"
When MBrain is to be implemented at new customers, Sven Sandström, 42, has a key role.

As Head of Deployment, he makes sure that everything is in place beforehand, he also plans for possible future incidents and have ready-made solutions for it.

“Since MBrain is used by so many different manufacturers, the installations are also unique. It depends entirely on how much of the product the customer has chosen. Not two installations are the same. Therefore, my job is very complex - and fun," Sven says.

He had worked for 18 years in the industrial service, mostly in the wood industry, when his employer at the time got a job assignment from MTEK.

“I was to build and deliver special wagons to one of their customers in Germany. And when we were there in Germany, the offer came to start working at MTEK instead."

Sven´s first role was as a hardware developer. But as MTEK switched to software, Sven's role also changed.

"I have been involved the whole process of building MBrain and have stepped in where needed. I´ve been everything from project manager and assembler to my current role.”

When Sven visit customers, he can really see what a difference MBrain makes.

“I remember one occasion, where a tester went around doing his job and wrote down the results on paper. Then he sat down at the computer, transferred the notes to Excel, which was then sent to the management. When we digitized the factory, the manager could get his report automatically by just pushing a button. In that case, MBrain really freed up resources while the staff could devote themselves to more value-creating work.”

To see the difference MBrain makes for the customers truly creates job satisfaction, Sven says.

“It is just so much fun! It is a rare thing to look forward to work every day. But I do. Here everyone really helps everyone. We have a great team spirit here at MTEK. And since failing is allowed, no one has to be afraid of I, and that brings out the best in everyone. That is what drives us forward.”
